What we check every month

llms.txt
Checks if /llms.txt exists, validates it is actual content (not a redirect or soft 404), and measures file size.
robots.txt AI Rules
Parses robots.txt for 11 AI crawler User-Agents. Detects whether each bot is explicitly blocked, allowed, or inherits wildcard rules.
Content Signals
Checks the homepage for JSON-LD Organization schema, meta robots AI directives (noai, noimageai), and X-Robots-Tag headers.

Frequently Asked Questions

The AI Readiness Observatory is a monthly scan of 170+ Greek websites across 16 industries. It tracks llms.txt adoption, robots.txt directives for AI crawlers, and structured data signals that affect how well AI models can access and represent each brand.
llms.txt is a proposed standard file (similar to robots.txt) that helps AI models understand a website's content, structure, and key information. Having an llms.txt file makes it easier for AI systems to accurately represent your brand in their responses. It is gaining traction as AI-powered search grows.
The Observatory runs a full scan once per month, typically at the start of the month. Each scan checks all tracked domains for llms.txt, robots.txt AI directives, and key content signals. Historical data is preserved so you can track trends over time.
The scan checks robots.txt directives for 11 AI crawlers from 8 organizations: GPTBot and ChatGPT-User (OpenAI), ClaudeBot and Claude-Web (Anthropic), PerplexityBot (Perplexity), Google-Extended (Google), Applebot-Extended (Apple), CCBot (Common Crawl), Bytespider (ByteDance), cohere-ai (Cohere), and Amazonbot (Amazon).
The Observatory currently tracks a curated list of prominent Greek websites across 16 industries including e-commerce, media, banking, travel, telecom, energy, and more. If you believe your website should be included, reach out through the contact section and we will consider adding it to the next monthly scan.
llms.txt is still an emerging standard. Most organizations are not yet aware of it or have not prioritized AI visibility as part of their digital strategy. The Observatory exists to track this adoption curve and provide data that helps the Greek market understand where it stands relative to global trends.
